Chelsea star agrees to return to his former club amid permit fiasco

According to Fabrizio Romano, midfielder Andrey Santos is close to returning to Brazilian second-division club Vasco de Gama.

He’s becoming more certain that he wants to Chelsea. The Blues signed the 18-year-old last month.

Because the player’s work permit application was denied, he is currently unable to play in the Premier League.

Chelsea had planned to loan Andrey Santos out. They had decided to send him to Palmeiras so that he could play regularly.

One of Chelsea’s demands was for Santos to compete in the Under-20 World Cup later this year. However, the Brazilian top flight team allegedly refused to accept.

Santos led Brazil to victory in the Under-20 South American Cup earlier this month, scoring six goals in eight games.

Santos’ return to Vasco is reportedly nearing completion, with a medical exam scheduled for very soon.

He is the midfielder who left the club last month after scoring eight goals in 37 games.

He is now expected to return to Vasco after the Brazilian team agreed to Chelsea’s terms.

As a result, Santos will return to London in the summer. He is set to compete in the World Cup, and MLS teams are reportedly interested in him.

Chelsea’s poor form continues as they are defeated 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

The blues have only won two of their previous 15 Premier League games.

They are currently eleventh in the standings, four points behind the bottom four.
